Don’t really have one tbh, most people call me Steve.
I have that mindset, it’s hard to explain but other grinders will know what I’m talking about. I am a very competitive person and have excelled in most things I’ve put my mind to throughout life. I’ve played football at a professional level. I’ve played video games at a competitive level (Halo 2).
A few of the guys I played Halo with moved over into poker and tried to convince me to do the same. The idea of being able to play a game and make consistent money seemed absurdly appealing to me and the rest is history.
I like a structured day, nothing crazy, I’m hugely satisfied if I can get through a number of goals, learn something new with zero procrastination/wasted time.
I like all kinds of music, I’m not willing to put myself in a category. I play the guitar & drums and appreciate lots of different kinds of music.
This is one thing I need to improve upon, I haven’t read ,amy books. I read a lot of news/current affairs, blogs, but no actual books. Although I have started reading “The practising mind”
Australia – weather, beautiful scenery, wildlife and way of life.
Scotland – great people, scenery.
Invest around 50% of it into a low risk / low return portfolio.
Invest a further 10 – 20% into a high risk / High return portfolio.
Pay off my mortgage, and enjoy the rest.
Becoming the best version of myself.
My ability to focus for long periods of time.
Learn and apply new knowledge quickly.
Not trusting my gut and listening & surrounding myself with negative under achievers. Leaving it so late to commit myself to poker.
I’d have studied something I was passionate about and not what I thought would get me a “good” job.
Chopped the Big $11 in 2010
This is more devastating than funny, but I’m laughing about it just thinking about it just now. Me, Kyle (squire1888) and 2 other guys all swapped 10% in the Sunday million $10 mill gtd with $1.6m for 1st and Lamborghini. This must have been about 5 years ago. 3 of us bust and go to bed, leaving Kyle with a complete bowl of a stack. I wake up at 6:30am to about 5 facebook messages and texts from Kyle who is like 9/40 out of 50k players with $10k locked up. We were all super hyped talking about how our 10% could be like $160k+ etc, talking about a trip to Vegas. Then he gets it in 4 way for chiplead with AA and get’s rivered. Nobody saw him for about a month after that hand… (Has anyone seen him since? Pls get in touch)
